Pilates & Reformer Terms

The terms that apply to our Reformer, Mat Pilates and Yoga classes.

Applies to all classes, events and sessions at Platform Fitness Pilates.

Welcome to Platform Fitness Pilates. These Terms & Conditions apply to all persons participating in any class, event, or session held at any studio operated by or under license from The RNT ONE Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “Platform Fitness”). By booking into a class or entering our premises, you acknowledge and agree to the following.

1. Participation & assumption of risk

By attending classes (including Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga, wellness events, and workshops), you acknowledge that physical activity involves inherent risks such as muscular strain, sprains, falls, and, in rare cases, serious injury or death. You voluntarily choose to participate, confirm you are medically fit, and understand you are responsible for modifying exercises as needed.

2. Medical conditions, injuries & pregnancy

  • Disclosure: You are required to disclose any relevant medical condition, injury, or pregnancy prior to participation.
  • Pregnancy: If you are pregnant or postnatal, please consult your healthcare provider. Once pregnancy reaches 14 weeks, jump board classes are not recommended. We recommend obtaining a medical clearance letter before participating.
  • Reporting: If you experience pain or discomfort, you agree to notify us within 24 hours to allow for an appropriate response and record-keeping.

3. Hands-on instruction

Instructors may use hands-on cueing or tactile guidance to support alignment and safety. If you do not wish to receive hands-on cueing, please notify the instructor before or during class.

4. Release of liability

You release Platform Fitness and its staff, franchisees, and agents from liability for personal injury or property damage resulting from participation, except where prohibited by Australian Consumer Law.

5. Right to refuse participation

Platform Fitness reserves the right to decline participation or request medical clearance for safety reasons. We also reserve the right to suspend services in cases of misuse or policy breaches.

6. Refund, class pass & expiry policy

All memberships and class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Each pack has a set expiry date; unused classes are forfeited upon expiry.

7. Property & belongings

Platform Fitness is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Please leave valuables at home and report any theft to staff immediately.

8. Photography & media consent

We occasionally take photos or videos for social media and marketing. By participating, you agree to the use of your image. If you do not consent, please advise staff prior to class.

9. Class bookings & attendance

  • Bookings: Must be made via our website, app, or in-studio.
  • Cancellations: A minimum of 3 hours’ notice is required. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a forfeited class or fee.
  • Waitlists: If you are on a waitlist and can no longer attend, please remove yourself manually.

10. Studio conduct

  • Behaviour: All participants must treat others and studio property with respect. Disruptive or aggressive behaviour may lead to removal.
  • Hygiene: Grip socks are always required for hygiene and safety.
  • Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside or outside the studios.

11. Agreement to policies

By booking, you also agree to our Waiver of Liability, Privacy Policy, and any additional policies displayed online or in-studio.

12. Age requirement & children policy

  • Promotions: Participants must be 18 years or older to be eligible for prizes or giveaways.
  • Unattended children: Children are not permitted to wait in the studio or reception while a guardian is in class.
  • Participation (ages 12+): Children 12 and over may participate if they have their own account and are accompanied by a participating guardian. Instructors reserve the right to assess suitability.

13. Merchandise & introductory offers

  • Merchandise: In line with ACCC guidelines, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. Exchanges are available for faulty items.
